Marion Mae Stearns, 68, of Manchester, passed away on January 23, 2012 at her residence.
She was born in North Deighton, MA on July 18, 1943 to Charles and Marjorie (Webster) Pickering. She wa a 1961 graduate of Medway High School.
Marion was an active volunteer in the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the American Red Cross, and The Blue Star Moms of New Hampshire. She leaves behind a lifelong legacy of selfless giving to the community. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Stearns in 1990.
Family members include four children, Paul Sullivan of Manchester, Randy Sullivan and his wife Darlene of Plumas Lake, CA, Jeannette Chatfield of Manchester and Tom Stearns of Manchester; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and nephews, nieces and cousins
A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Friday from 5 to 7 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 PM. In addition, a pot-luck Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Ark Church, 336 Kelly Street in Manchester from 4 to 8 pm. All friends and family are welcome.
