Evan Christopher Drake

It is difficult to express just how deep a loss this is. Our hearts pray that in the coming weeks and months, the family finds the strength to overcome this tragedy. My deepest sympathies and love.......

Lisa... I'm so very sorry. Evan was one of the sweetest kids, and a decent young man. He and I kept in touch from time to time, and I always smiled when we chatted. I'll miss him horribly, but I'm sure, not as much as you will.

Evan is with his Grandpa now, I believe that. Dad will guide his spirit and find rest, help ease the pain that he could not find the courage to deal with when he was with us.

The pictures of him as a young boy made me cry, that is the Evan that I will remember most... playing with him and Andrew as little guys... the time I came to visit and he and Andrew showed me the K'Nex that they were putting together, which consumed (it seemed) half a room... :)

Evan... I'm sorry... I'll miss you... I'll love you always... Uncle Jeff...

I can't even begin to express how sorry I am for you all. Evan will always live within you. Cathy and John you are amazing parents, as shown by all the responses from people that really know you. You took Evan in and gave him everything he needed and more. He was a very blessed boy, and will be missed by many. I hope this time of sadness passes quickly for you, and that your good memories of Evan last forever. I love you all and am thinking of you.

I wish I could have met the man you became but I will forever cherish the memories we had, every summer we spent together when you were a kid. I will always remember him playing in the frog pond- particularly when Bobby fell in (Jessy just jumped in). Most kids his age run from children but he was always wonderful with them when their own aunts and uncles are not. Bill and I cherish that.

We all had a good time with the animals (the baby cows and horses) and Bobby won that $1 goldfish we all took turns carrying the fish. It was a wonderful day in the sun. He fit in in anywhere and got along with everyone.

All of my memories of Evan are good. The family BBQ's - working on our the beautiful lawn that your family created - or just hearing all the wonderful stories from your mom of the years raising you. Lisa loved you so much every day. You brought joy to her every day of your life.
