CLAUDE D. DORVAL

BEDFORD – Claude D. Dorval, 75, died on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Bedford Hills Nursing Home, in Bedford, NH.

Mr. Dorval was born in Sherbrook, Quebec, on February 29, 1936, the son of the late Florian and Germaine (McKenzie) Dorval. Mr. Dorval resided in Bedford since March 2011. Prior to this, he lived in Manchester for 46 years.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Dorval was employed as a weaver for Velcro, USA, for 34 years.

Mr. Dorval was an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed playing cards. He also loved flower gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Members of his family include his wife of 52 years, Liliane A. (Marois) Dorval, of Manchester; one son, Roger C. Dorval, of Manchester; a daughter, Lynda G. Madore, also of Manchester; 4 grandchildren, Lauren L. Dorval, Bruce J. Madore, Jr., Brian A. Madore, Nicole M. Dorval, a brother, Paul Dorval, of Quebec; five sisters, Claire Bard, of New Jersey; Louise Chaine, of Sherbrook; France Tremblay, Paulette Lizotte, Suzanne Briere, all of Canada; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Dorval was predeceased by his brothers, Guy and Mario Dorval.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Monday, January 30, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will take place at a later time, in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, in Manchester.

Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 5 Bedford Farms Drive, Suite 201, Bedford, NH 03110, in memory of Mr. Dorval.
